Keith
F. Camper, D.D.S.
Dr. Keith Camper joined the staff of Children’s Dental Office in 2003 and is a partner in our practice.
Originally from Willingboro, NJ, Dr. Camper graduated magna cum laude from Morehouse College in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. During his matriculation in school, he spent one year as vice president of the Pre-Dental Society. While in college, Dr. Camper spent each summer conducting research and furthering his dental knowledge at the University of Connecticut, University of Virginia and University of California (San Francisco). Upon completing his undergraduate degree, he was then accepted to Howard University School of Dentistry. In 2001, he earned a Doctorate of Dental surgery degree.
Dr. Camper expressed an interest in the health profession at an early age. However, in his sophomore year of college, he realized how much he enjoyed working with children. He became involved in the “Hands on Science” mentorship program in neighboring elementary schools and was an academic tutor. In dental school, Dr. Camper’s passion for children’s dentistry became evident as he continued to volunteer and serve children. His involvement in the annual Crest Community Outreach Project (which gives free dental care and education to youth in the DC Metropolitan area) contributed to his decision to specialize in pediatrics. Dr. Camper was awarded a certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in 2003.
In addition to practicing pediatric dentistry, he enjoys speaking at local elementary schools about the importance of oral health. Dr. Camper has also been a mentor for students who’ve shown an interest in dentistry. He continuously allows numerous students to “shadow” him during the course of the day. His humanitarian efforts led him to embark on a missionary trip to the Republic of the Philippines in the fall of 2010. It was there that he offered free dental treatment to approximately 450 children and adults.
Dr. Camper is happily married. His wife, Autumn, is an elementary school teacher. They have one son, Aidan. In addition to his professional and community interests, Dr. Camper loves to laugh, read, travel and exercise. He’s an avid sports fan who follows Georgetown basketball and NFL football. However, most importantly, his heart is built to serve.
